Home About GMV Get to Know the Company R&D+i Aid EMA4FLIGHT Print Share The purpose of the EMA4FLIGHT project is to develop electromechanical actuators (EMA) and electronic control units (ECU) for flight control systems. This project was financed with funds from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement No. 738042. The EMA4FLIGHT project will design, manufacture, and fine-tune innovative electromechanical actuator sub-systems for ailerons/spoilers and secondary flight control surfaces (winglets and flap-tabs), with flight clearance. The sub-systems designed will be improved by an innovative electric motor and ball screw architecture, advanced control and smart safety strategies, and diagnostic and maintenance functions. Aileron/spoiler electronic control unit (ECU) hardware and software certification will be performed as part of the VALEMA project.
