They received this award for their successful project on use of a collaborative robot, or cobot, in Cepsa’s laboratory at its La Rábida Energy Park in Palos de la Frontera, in the Spanish province of Huelva. The project was developed by Cepsa as user and GMV as technological partner, and it represents Cepsa’s first use of a cobot. The company is thus reinforcing the safety of its employees and boosting efficiency and productivity improvements while also helping to promote production processes based on circular economy techniques by automating the recovery of samples and recycling of containers. Cepsa's award was accepted by its Head of Analytical Services, Berta Aramburu, and by Víctor García, representing the company’s Department of Industrial Technology and Innovation; and representing GMV, Almudena Nieto, GMV’s Business Development Manager for Energy and Utilities.
