This time, however, GMV, together with the research department of Trend Micro FTR (Forward-looking Threat Research), put forward a hypothesis about how this type of malware is likely to evolve in the medium term. Juan Jesús León, Product and New Development Manager of GMV Secure e-Solutions, and David Sancho, Anti-Malware Researcher of Trend Micro, set up a model of the current ATM malware scenario based on how each one of the various types of malware might attack. During the event GMV’s experts were present in the exhibition hall, showcasing their world leading product checker ATM Security. This inhouse GMV product has been protecting ATMs from cyberattacks for over 10 years now, and its currently safeguarding the security of over 120,000 ATMs in 33 countries.
