Both the street information panels and the onboard information system are adapted for visually impaired passengers with a specially designed Ciberpass system to reproduce the information audibly. Passenger convenience is another of the key factors to be taken into account within this renewal project. A farecard-recharging function has therefore been enabled from Unauto’s website plus ePurse farecard recharging terminals. The three GMV-supplied recharging terminals have been sited strategically throughout the city by the council itself and Unauto. GMV has also issued Unauto’s inspectors with a farecard-checking handheld, issuing the corresponding fine if need be.
