GMV participates in key events in the defense area

GMV's subsidiary in Portugal has taken part in recent weeks in several key defense-area events in which José Neves, director of Security and Defense in Portugal, showed off the company's experience in this sector.

José Neves attended the FLY AI Forum in Brussels, Belgium, on 20 and 21 April. This event is dedicated to exploring the latest advances and deployments of artificial intelligence and machine learning in aviation. This year, the event brought together a broad community of aviation AI users and practitioners to discuss practical use cases, share best practices and learn about the latest AI technologies and trends in the industry.

As part of an important community of users and professionals, José Neves had the chance to take part in discussions and presentations on AI in aviation and also to showcase one of the AI solutions developed by GMV: Safeterm.

Safeterm is an integrated solution for air traffic control that incorporates advanced surveillance and control features, and it was displayed at the EDA stand during the event.

The other event was the LAAD Defense and Security Fair, which was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from April 11 to 14. LAAD is one of the largest and most important events in the defense and security sector in Latin America and provides a platform to showcase the latest technologies and solutions to key industry players, such as military and government officials, defense companies and industry experts. This year, the event was attended by Portuguese authorities, including the Portuguese Minister of Defense, Helena Carreiras, and General João Cartaxo Alves, Chief of Staff of the Portuguese Air Force.

At the event, José Neves had the opportunity to meet with other industry experts, showcase GMV's technology and solutions, and discuss partnerships and collaborations with other companies in the sector.

Participation in such events is crucial for GMV's Defense sector as it provides the opportunity to showcase its solutions and connect with key stakeholders in the industry.
