Held at the University of Zaragoza and organized by the European Association of Aerospace Students (EUROAVIA), the event brought together all of the teams from Spanish universities that participate in the field of rocketry. The students were able to share their experiences and show off their projects, and they also had a chance to interact during a workshop. As a sponsor with a stand at the event, GMV was able to present all of the opportunities existing at the company. It also participated in a roundtable discussion on the subject of STEM careers, along with representatives from other companies and institutions. Since its beginning, GMV has been committed to promoting STEM careers among its employees. In 2021 alone, GMV signed training agreements with 85 educational institutions, which have allowed 178 students to join the company’s teams through internship programs at its various facilities. Those students were recruited from bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and vocational training programs in various fields of engineering. At the event, GMV also contributed a technical talk entitled “Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) Systems and Avionics on an Orbital Launcher”. The talk was presented by Emanuele Di Sotto, GMV’s Flight Segment Products Manager, who emphasized that in recent years, GMV has solidified its position as a leading company for developing technologies in key areas of GNC, avionics, software engineering and microelectronics. He also explained that the company is a trusted provider in the flight segment area, providing complete avionics systems that include GNC and altitude & orbit control (AOCS) subsystems, flight software, and integration with flight equipment. GMV’s participation at this event is one more example of its commitment to developing the talent of the future.
