GMV receives award for best presentation at QA&Test Safety and Cybersecurity event

The 3rd International Conference on Safety and Cybersecurity was recently held at the Círculo de Bellas Artes of Madrid (Spain), on April 26th and 27th, 2023. GMV participated in this event, which took place under the theme “Keys to integrate cybersecurity and safety in the development lifecycle of a system”. It featured attendance by cybersecurity professionals and experts from various countries, who had the opportunity to share their knowledge, advances, and views on the latest industry trends.

The main purpose of this QA&Test Safety and Cybersecurity Conference was to address the challenges of integrating safety and cybersecurity aspects into all phases of the lifecycle of a product or system, since these two disciplines can no longer be considered separately because of the interconnectivity of systems.

At the conference, presentations were made during three main sessions: “Cybersecurity and safety in the development lifecycle”; “Cybersecurity defense techniques in safety domains”; and “Industrial safety & cybersecurity: a practical approach”. 

On April 26th, Armando Sánchez, a RAMS Engineer from GMV’s Quality, Reliability and Security department, presented a talk entitled “Safety and Security for High Altitude UAV Concept of Operations”, where he discussed the primary safety risks and mitigation mechanisms needed for operating constellations of stratospheric platforms, with the aim of demonstrating the feasibility of high-altitude operations.
