3rd PERASPERA Workshop
GMV will be taking part in the third PERASPERA workshop to be held in Brussels on 2 and 3 April.
The PERASPERA program, funded under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 program, aims to draw up a European roadmap and activity plan for space robotics technology through the space robotics Strategic Research Cluster (SRC).
This event will serve as a forum to discuss the results of the first part of the European Commission’s Space Robotics Cluster (SRC), its biggest space robotics program, and prepare for its second phase. After 27 months of work GMV has now pulled off significant advances in the first phase, within the three robotic technology building blocks it is leading, ERGO, ESROCOS and FACILITATORS.
The remit of this cluster is to consolidate space-robotics technology designed for in-orbit and planetary exploration missions. PERASPERA is being coordinated by PSA. The program coordinator is ESA and its partners are the Italian, French, German and UK Space agencies: Agenzia Spaziale Italiana (ASI), Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales (CNES), Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR) and the UK Space Agency (UKSA), plus Spain’s Industrial Technology Development Center (Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico Industrial: CDTI).
