New Space Spain

On 29 November Vigo is to become the cynosure of the aerospace sector, hosting New Space Spain. Organized by Vigo University, Galicia’s Aerospace Innovation Center (CINAE in Spanish initials) and the spin-off Alén Space, the event will bring together over a hundred representatives from new firms, major agencies and aerospace corporations, together with sector-supporting organizations and institutions.

Under the banner “Business Opportunities outside the Earth”, the event will attract the top players of New Space, the major aerospace firms like GMV plus organizations and institutions with a major part to play in the sector. There will be panel discussions looking at the challenges and new opportunities bound up with new satellites; new space and the Spanish aerospace industry plus funding and sector development support.

Pedro Schoch, GMV’s Corporate Development Director, will be taking part in the panel discussion: “New Space and Spain’s Aerospace Industry”.
