Inforsalud 2016

GMV will be taking part once again in this year’s Inforsalud Congress, the nineteenth of its kind, presenting its Big-Data-based epidemiology solution "HEXIN", successfully developed for the Galician Health Service (Servicio Gallego de Salud). Inforsalud this year will be addressing the question of integral healthcare and the role of ICTs in the coordination of social and health systems.

Susana Cerquiero, Assistant Director-General for Healthcare Assessment and Guarantees of the Healthcare Directorate General of the Galician Health Service (Servizo Galego de Saúde) will be giving the paper: “The Epidemiology and Clinical Information Mining Tool of the Galician Health Service with Big Data technology). From its name in Spanish (HErramienta de EXplotación de INformación clínica y epidemiológica) the tool is shortened to the acronym of HEXIN.

This congress aims to lay special stress on how to integrate citizens’ social and healthcare information and their co-responsibility for their own health, to meet the current population-driven demand for improved and more efficient healthcare.
