RoboCupJunior Open Spain

GMV is sponsoring RoboCupJunior OpenSpain 2016, a national knockout competition for teams aspiring to take part in the world championship of RoboCupJunior (RJC), to be held this year in Leipzig (Germany).

RoboCup Junior (RJC) is the world’s most important, open-entry international educational robotics competition. Once a year teams representing all participating countries meet up to hold the world championship of RoboCupJunior. To get that far teams first have to pass the national knockout round of RoboCupJunior. Spain’s knockout round, “RoboCupJunior Open Spain”, organized by the Complubot Educational Robotics Center, will be held on 21 and 22 May in Alcalá de Henares.

RJC is an educational event that encourages the teamwork and dedication of young students taking part in a genuine mobile robots competition. These intelligent machines have to be built and programmed to work autonomously, i.e., without human intervention after they have been set in motion.
