Planting the Seeds of the Future: Digitalization, Training, and Employment in Agriculture
In order to support the digital transformation processes of SMEs, the social economy, the self-employed and entrepreneurs, the National Foundation for Employment Training (FUNDAE) is organizing a series of thematic meetings in collaboration with regional institutions as part of the SME University project.
In Andalusia, for example, the General Directorate of Vocational Training for Employment is organizing a conference on digitization and training in the Andalusian agricultural sector, to be held in Cordoba on 21 and 22 February 2024, with the aim of disseminating best practices in training and digitization in the different municipalities and productive sectors.
Miguel Hormigo, Industry Sector Manager at GMV’s Secure e-Solutions, will take part in the panel “The digital and sustainable future of the Andalusian countryside” (Thursday 22 February, 11 am) in the “Cultivando Digital” (Digital Cultivation) space. He will explain the technologies and solutions used to digitalize the agri-food sector and the advances made by the AgrarIA project. AgrarIA is funded by Spain’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, through the R&D Missions in Artificial Intelligence Program of the State Secretariat for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (SEDIA) (file no. MIA.2021.M01.0004), using funds from the country’s Recovery, Resilience, and Transformation Plan.
