8th IAA Planetary Defense Conference

GMV is a sponsor for the 8th edition of the Planetary Defense Conference, which will be held in Austria from April 3‑7.

This is a biennial event that brings together worldwide experts to discuss the threats that asteroids and comets may present to the Earth, and the measures that can be taken to redirect approaching objects.

The International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) promotes the advancement of astronautics for peaceful purposes, and it recognizes outstanding individuals in the fields of space science and technology. It fosters international cooperation for progress in aerospace science, and it also develops programs that allow its members to contribute to international efforts.

As in previous editions, GMV is sponsoring the student award.
