This roadmap is the first step in building up an industrial cybersecurity culture with the overall aim of improving the security of Spain’s industrial infrastructure and easy application to the whole of Ibero-America. CCI is an independent non-profit entity that sets out to encourage and improve industrial cybersecurity. CCI aims to become the independent meeting point for private and public organizations and professionals involved in industrial cybersecurity practices and technologies. Industrial control systems are fundamental for any country’s society and economy. A great amount of critical infrastructure depends on industrial control systems to work properly. Both this infrastructure and its systems have therefore become a terrorist and even military target. The roadmap has been drawn up from the knowledge and experience of the private and public stakeholders of Spain’s industry, seeking maximum consensus and representativeness among them all. This involved a participative process of construction and continual improvement over recent months, during which Javier Zubieta, GMV’s Business Development Manager for Information Security, has input GMV’s experience and expertise.
