This Symposium, serving as a meeting point for the international community of professionals working in the space application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Automation and Robotics (A&R), will be a discussion forum showcasing new ideas and developments of a groundbreaking research effort in artificial intelligence, robotics and space automation. As well as sponsoring the symposium, GMV will also be presenting 4 papers: Joaquín Estremera, Doctor in Physics of GMV, will be speaking about “Preliminary Design and Study of Performance of a High Mobility Sample Fetching Rover”. Fernando Gandía, GMV’s Control Systems Engineer Space Segment and Robotics Aerospace, will be giving a paper on “The LUCID field test campaign – Results of operations with a rover in a similar lunar environment”. Marcos Avilés, GMV’s Advanced Space Systems and Technologies Aerospace, will be speaking about “SPARTAN, Vision–Based Autonomous Navigation System for Fast Traversal Planetary Rovers”. Jorge Ocón Alonso, GMV’s Technical Responsible Avionics and Onboard SW Division Space Systems – Aerospace, will be talking about “Using the ERGO framework for space robotics in a planetary and an orbital scenario”.
