World Space Week

World Space Week, the world’s prime event on space technology and the peaceful use of outer space, will be held from 4 to 10 October.

In Portugal, as part of this week, diverse scientists, experts and trade professionals will be visiting Portuguese schools to talk about various topical space matters.

GMV Portugal, keen to participate in this space awareness-raising week, is holding an initiative called “Space goes to School”  (O Espaço vai à Escola) with several trade professionals. Teresa Ferreira, Pedro Fernandes, Rui Barradas Pereira and João Branco will be visiting schools to talk about ESA missions like Rosetta, Gaia and Exomars, GPS satnav systems, Galileo and Space 4.0.
