Clean Space Industrial days

GMV will be present at the upcoming Clean Space Industrial days to be held in the Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in the Netherlands from 24 to 27 October.

The workshop is organized by the “AeroThermoDynamics Design for Demise” (ATD3) Working Group, set up by ESA and CNES to look into the aerothermodynamic process that helps to reduce the amount of space debris surviving re-entry.

The workshop, held as a two-yearly forum to encourage debate between participants (at technical and scientific level), pools and broadcasts information, proposes and plans new topics/activities (definition and coordination of the roadmap) concerning all relevant aerothermodynamics aspects that govern the demisability problem and, hence, boost confidence in the tools used for that purpose.

GMV this time round is presenting 4 papers dealing with active debris removal and mitigation technology, drawing on its experience gained from the various projects it is now participating in.
