The Executive Committee of CTA (Andalusian Technological Corporation) has approved the financing of 6 new R&D+I projects that will mobilize a private investment of more than 5.1 million euros. The lines of innovation in the new projects include, for example, an autonomous robot for harvesting broccoli using artificial vision, new olive oil filtration processes using non-invasive techniques, Artificial Intelligence applied to the prevention of failures in photovoltaic solar energy installations and improvements in energy storage systems with photovoltaic energy production, among others. “These initiatives launched by the CTA are key to developing innovative projects for sustainable mobility and digitization of the industry. We’ve highlighted the work of the CTA since its beginnings and the great contribution it is making with R&D+I to make a greener, more technological and socialized country,” says Miguel Hormigo, Industry Sector Manager of Secure e-Solutions of GMV. The new projects approved will receive more than 2 million euros in incentives from CTA. The projects will help transfer scientific knowledge to new solutions that will reach the market, as they subcontract 6 different research groups from the universities of Granada, Malaga, Seville, Pablo de Olavide and CSIC. The new projects will be implemented in the provinces of Granada, Jaen, Malaga and Seville, and belong to the Aerospace and Production Processes, Biotechnology, Agri-food, Energy and Environment, and ICT sectors.
