GMV invited to UN’s Procurement program

In the UN’s New York head office representatives from GMV took part in the first Spain-UN Procurement Program, organized by the Spanish Foreign Trade Institute (Instituto de Comercio Exterior: ICEX) through its Commercial and Economic Office (Oficina Económica y Comercial). The aim of this event is to promote the development of Spanish firms with the UN.

The event was opened by Ángel Martín Acebes, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Spain in New York; and Alicia Montalvo Santamaría, Director of ICEX’s Infrastructure, Environment, Energy and ICT Division (División de Infraestructuras, Medio Ambiente, Energía y TICs).

During this event UN procurement officers explained the particular features of tendering with UN agencies and their legal and formal aspects. GMV participated actively in the ICT sessions and held bilateral meetings with representatives from several UN agencies, presenting its credentials as a provider of services and solutions for the design, rollout and auditing of secure IT infrastructure, consultant in cybersecurity and mobility, development of web portals and satellite image processing applications.
