We also support external initiatives promoting the same values. That is why we have partnered with the seventh edition of Europe’s largest international robotics and space competition: the European Rover Challenge. We funded the top prize (a $1,250 voucher) for the best REMOTE team of the event. During the ERC competition, university teams from around the world build their own Martian robots and then compete in competitions similar to the tasks performed by rovers on the surfaces of Mars and the Moon. From 2020, ERC takes place simultaneously in two formats: ON-SITE (stationary) and REMOTE using a virtual platform, imitating the world's largest artificial Martian track. In addition, as part of the Inspiration Zone of this year's edition of the ERC, we will also present our knowledge and experience in the space sector. On Friday (September 10), Maciej Prokopczyk, Project Manager and Software Engineer of GMV´s Space sector in Poland, will talk about mission control systems at the European Space Agency and how to control robotic missions on other planets. On Saturday (September 11), Paweł Wojtkiewicz, Space Director of GMV´s Space sector in Poland will take part in a discussion on the benefits and challenges of manned sub-orbital flights. ERC 2021 takes place between September 10-12 and will be transmitted live on the event website: https://roverchallenge.eu/en/spectator-zone/.
