Organized by Rutas y Retos, “Desafío Xplora” is a solidarity initiative that involves driving through one or more countries in a set time. This year’s solidarity trip, heading for Turkey, set out from Madrid on 30 July and arrived in Istanbul on 13 August. All the vehicles which took part in this particular adventure were fitted with GMV’s advanced internet-based fleet management and tracking system, Moviloc®. This system kept a constant track of their position on the 15 days while they were driving through different countries to reach Turkey, giving their position at all times so that friends and family could follow their progress from their homes. Also, in case of any accident, this technology would have allowed to know the car position in order to take the necessary actions.
