GMV presents its latest transport breakthroughs in FIAA
The technological business group will be taking part as usual in this year’s International Bus and Coach Trade Fair
GMV’s transport area has now become an international benchmark after winning so many contracts around the world
GMV, leader in advanced fleet-management and passenger-information systems for urban and railway transport, is taking part in this year’s International Bus and Coach Trade Fair (Feria Internacional del Autobús y del Autocar: FIAA), presenting state-of-the-art technology as result of its ongoing investment effort. GMV keeps track of client needs in various fields (trams, BRT, etc.) and is continually breaking into new areas (Asia, Africa and America) by winning worldwide contracts. This has made it an international benchmark.
The latest breakthroughs being presented by GMV in this year’s FIAA include its electronic fare-collection equipment, connected up to external terminals for fare payment by means of EMV bank cards (Europay MasterCard VISA), either contactless, contact or the traditional swipe cards.
Another new development being presented at the fair is the high-performance self-service ticket-vending machine TRB-311, which caters for self-service purchase of single-journey tickets at bus stations and stops of any means of transport as well as the recharging of contact and contactless smartcards. The TR-311 accepts all means of payment: coins, notes and bank cards.
GMV will also be presenting its custom-built systems for new world markets, such as the new developments in the integrated fleet-management and fare-collection system for Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems successfully set up in sites as different as India and Mexico. The overall transport management for Ahmedabad (India), for instance, has been set up with a fare-collection system based on manned vending equipment and turnstile access-control activated by the habitual contactless cards and tokens, all topped up by its advanced fleet-management and passenger-information system.
GMV has also cemented its leadership in rural transport management. Its transport-on-demand system is now to be set up in the transport system of Medio Tejo in central Portugal, including a transport-on-demand management center.
