II Iberoamerican Epidemiology and Public Health Congress

GMV will participate in the II Iberoamerican Epidemiology and Public Health Congress organised by the Spanish Epidemiology Society (Sociedad Española de Epidemiología), in conjunction with the Spanish Public Health and Health Administration Society (Sociedad Española de Salud Pública y Administración Sanitaria) and the Portuguese Epidemiology Association (Asociación Portuguesa de Epidemiología) in Santiago de Compostela.

GMV will present, jointly with the Department of Health of the Galician Regional Government (Consellería de Sanidade e Servicio Galego de Saúde), the platform called HEXIN. Through the compilation of vast amounts of clinical data (from sources such as electronic medical records, microbiological control systems etc) and an adequate subsequent analysis, this platform allows key aspects to be obtained such as the prevalence of illnesses, inconsistencies in treatment, comorbidity in chronically ill patients and the adequacy of assistance protocols, as well as the generation of alerts.

This achievement is a result of GMV’s extensive knowledge in the application of advanced technologies such as auto-semantic markup, Big Data, intelligent algorithms and Business Intelligence.
