DV-Rec

Rail transportation video surveillance system

Overview

DV-Rec Onboard Video Surveillance System for Trains

This on board system for rail is implemented on a distributed Ethernet architecture allowing for a great deal of scalability and the possibility of implementing network redundancy.

The DV-Rec, onboard digital video equipment, as well as the other system components ensure compliance with the top rail standards.

DV-Rec can be installed independently or integrated with other systems such as fleet management (SAE-R CAD/AVL), passenger information (INFO-Pass) and public address and intercom (PA & Intercom).

System Components

The basic on board systems for rail is comprised of one or more digital video recorders (DVR) and a variable set of cameras. The final architecture is configured based on the required parameters (coding / compression type, image resolution, aspect ratio, redundancy, etc.).

The touchscreens are installed in both cabs to provide the driver with live images and video reproduction.

Additional terminals can be installed online (supervision terminals), rearview cameras, emergency buttons, etc., as well as integration of the system with other onboard systems.
