Dismounted Soldier System

On 11 November GMV will be holding the webinar “Sistemas de Combatiente (Dismounted Soldier Systems)”, presented by Iñigo Barredo, Project Engineer at GMV.

This webinar will discuss dismounted soldier systems (DSS) in general and, in greater detail, the DSS projects that GMV has taken part in.

First the concept of DSS will be introduced, understood as the systems bringing digital modernization to infantry combatants and then we will look at the actual systems that are already in use. An explanation will then be given of GMV’s background and experience in this domain, before focusing on the project GMV involvement that has developed the European standard DSS architecture. A detailed explanation will then be given of the Spanish soldier system, developed by GMV and INDRA (Joint Venture). Finally, the webinar will briefly look at the future of these systems.
