Queralt Portell, quantum data scientist at GMV, will be participating in the session on “Quantum Computing & Artificial Intelligence” to explain the work carried out in the CUCO project on quantum computing for earth observation (Room 1, 11:15 a.m.). CUCO, funded by the Center for Technological Development and Innovation (CDTI) and supported by the Ministry of Science and Innovation under the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, is Spain’s first major quantum computing project and is led by GMV. It seeks to advance the state-of-the art of quantum algorithms and apply them in a series of use cases for different sectors of the Spanish economy. GMV is working on its own lines of research applying quantum machine learning and quantum optimization techniques in the earth observation industry. The three use cases studied are the identification of photovoltaic plants in satellite images, the optimization of satellite image acquisition, and the short-term prediction of wind speed and direction in areas of interest.MORE INFO Details 09/10/2024 - 10/10/2024 L'illa Auditorium (AXA), Barcelona MORE INFO Related CorporateIndustry Atlas Tecnológico #ReviveVALENCIA 18 Dec 9:00 AM - 2:30 PM Industry Quantum computing, key to transforming urban mobility and sustainable logistics Industry AI and automation as keys to the future of industrial production
