Its aim is to take stock of the space sector, analyze the progress made, the challenges ahead and the near future.GMV was one of the sponsors of this conference, held under the slogan “Consolidating Europe's Space Ambition: Towards a Competitive, Secure, and Autonomous Future”. The event was attended by over 1,500 participants and over 80 speakers who discussed a variety of topics, including the space industry, the New Space, exploration missions, applications in aviation and shipping, telecommunications and 5G, the digital transition, advances in quantum technology, artificial intelligence (AI) and Europe's recovery strategy.GMV took part in several panels, with a notable participation of its executives. Enrique Fraga, GMV's general manager of EST Space Systems, took part in the paper “Towards a European Space Industrial Strategy”; Miguel Romay, GMV's general manager of Satellite Navigation Systems, spoke on “Galileo - The Next Generation: Addressing the Challenges of PNT for a Secure and Reliable Future“”; Miguel Ángel Molina, GMV's Deputy General Manager of EST Space Systems, took part in “The Future Commercial and Secure Connectivity Applications”; and Mariella Graziano, GMV's Director of Strategy and Business Development of EST Space Systems Science, Exploration and Transportation, participated in two panels: “Scenarios for Sustainable and Autonomous European Space Exploration to the Moon and Beyond” and ‘Developing European Capabilities and Ensuring Space Sustainability, In-Orbit Servicing and Active Debris Removal’.Among the public personalities who stood out in this 17th edition of the European Space Conference were the Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaja Hallas, the European Commissioner for Defence and Space, Andrius Kubilius, and other Commissioners and high representatives of the European Union, as well as the Director General of the European Space Agency (ESA), Josef Aschbacher.
