Del 29 de Abril al 3 de Mayo, la sociedad interdisciplinaria ESTRO (European Society for Radiotherapy & Oncology) ha organizado un evento en Turín (Italia) donde los oncólogos de radiación, físicos médicos, biólogos y radioterapeutas han unido sus fuerzas con otras organizaciones en el campo de la oncología. Carlos Illana, radiance Product Manager de GMV, mostró a los asistentes del evento la nueva versión del simulador radiance (v3). La crítica de los expertos fue muy positiva respecto a los avances realizados por GMV en su simulador de radioterapia intraoperatoria, gran parte de los físicos médicos presentes manifestaron lo necesario y ventajoso que actualmente resulta la planificación con radiance. En ESTRO 35 se ha podido comprobar la colaboración de las organizaciones con otros especialistas en la materia, para involucrarse en el tratamiento multimodalidad y así asegurar la oportunidad del intercambio vital del conocimiento y la experiencia, además de la oportunidad para la creación de redes centradas en iniciativas de investigación y desarrollo que conduzcan a la excelencia en el cuidado de los pacientes.
