Working from the readings of a network of receivers, magicGEMINI will provide PANSA with navigation performance information according to the international air navigation standards (RTCA’s Minimum Operational Performance Standards: MOPS), keeping a track of service compliance both in real time and in post-operational processing. The tool supports GPS and GLONASS and SBASs such as EGNOS (European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service), WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System) and GMV’s magicSBAS solution.The PANSA contract includes the provision of magicGEMINI licences and also operator training and support and maintenance for one year. The first training session was held from 1 to 3 October 2012 on GMV’s Madrid headquarters, where course-goers were shown advanced use of the tool in all operation modes and configurations. magicGEMINI forms part of GMV’s family of magicGNSS products, most developed with inhouse R&D resources. The development of these products enables the firm to keep at the cutting edge of all involved technologies.
