SmallSat Symposium

his month took place the 7th annual SmallSat Symposium 2022 in Silicon Valley, Mountain View, California. A three-day conference delivered in a hybrid format that offered both virtual and in-person attendance.

This year's edition title was "Defining what's next for the SmallSat Industry", and it brought together to identify critical trends and qualify disruptive technologies, speakers and panelists from a wide range of public, private and government partnerships. Creating an ideal environment for open communication, important networking and critical insight.

The conference program covered a wide range of topics, such as market and regulatory and investment aspects, to emerging technologies and concepts such as the Internet of Things, in-space servicing, mega-constellations, machine learning, and cloud computing, among others.

GMV, as a world leader in the satellite ground control market, did not miss the opportunity to attend the conference and run a stand displaying the company's lines of product for Satellite Control (Hifly), Flight Dynamics (Focussuite), Mission Planning (Flexplan), Ground Station Monitoring and Control(Magnet) and Payload Management (Smart payload).

This conference was the perfect occasion to build an understanding of the industry´s future, seeing that hundreds of SmallSat projects are now in progress and the market is expected to increase over the short term.
