This gathering, organized by the European Space Agency (ESA), brought together professionals and experts from the fields of space and telecommunications, to discover and explore emerging space-based connectivity solutions. Presented in a hybrid format, the conference was structured into a variety of thematic areas and sessions. The participants had an opportunity to engage in detailed discussions of subjects that revolved around the challenges arising in the new European space era. In this context, there were presentations on the benefits of connectivity in remote areas not served by terrestrial networks, as well as applications for connectivity in fields as diverse as security, emergency response, transportation, energy, agriculture, and industry. As it did on previous occasions, GMV participated actively in the various discussion panels. Enrique Fraga, GMV’s General Manager of Space Systems EST, shared the company’s perspectives regarding digital transformation in the Satcom area, with his presentation entitled “Augmentation & Orchestration of Megaconstellations”. In addition, Álvaro Sánchez Valverde, a project engineer at GMV, gave a talk on “Blockchain for Space” during the session entitled “Next Generation Satcom”. Also, Serban Anghel, a Flight Dynamics Engineer and Project Manager at GMV, gave a presentation entitled “Operational Product for Electric Propulsion Orbit Raising (OPEPOR)” as part of the “Management & Control, Hub & Modem” session. In summary, this event represented an excellent opportunity to share the latest developments in these fields, in relation to advanced technologies, products, and services.
