Airspace Integration Week

GMV is sponsoring Airspace Integration Week, which is set to take place in Madrid.

Ifema and the Cuatro Vientos aerodrome will host three events between 25 and 28 September, bringing together for the first time manned aviation, drones, the space industry, and civil-military cooperation.

The week will include an Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA) event focusing on the integration of all airspace operators; Expodrónica, the leading event in the drone and unmanned aircraft sector; and the World Space Summit (WOSS), which will welcome stakeholders from all space altitudes.

Airspace Integration Week will serve as an early preview of how civil and military manned and unmanned aircraft will coexist in U-space. In addition to the exhibitors, it will feature a full program of conferences and networking opportunities, coordinated flight demonstrations of manned and unmanned vehicles, and demonstrations of software and services applied to the fields of advanced air mobility (urban and regional), space, defense, and security.

The Expodrónica Air Show will have an exhibition area and several spaces for knowledge exchange. As a unique added bonus, demonstrations of hardware, software, and services will also take place at Cuatro Vientos Airport to showcase their full potential.

The World Space Summit will be held in Madrid for the first time, bringing together the entire gamut of space industry stakeholders. This is key to Spain’s involvement in the integration of European airspace. As part of the program, legislative issues will be discussed and cooperation projects will be presented, as will the latest initiatives from both start-ups and leading companies in the space industry for space use and exploration. Various space agencies will also be present, and there will be debates on sustainability and telecommunications.
