SmartPayload for constellations provides an integral solution for LEO constellations.
SATCOM resources management includes support to advanced mission configuration and capabilities such as inter-satellite links (ISLs), on-board processing (OBP), and transparent and/or software-defined satellites.
Smartleonms enables optimum ground and space resources exploitation attending to changing demand and environment always honoring the customers SLAs, while Smartleosim is an end-to-end communications mission simulator complementing Smartleonms to validate and estimate the performance of a given network configuration.
Both products are built on top of a solid foundation enabled by previous GMV operational products, extensive knowledge, and heritage.
SATCOM constellations network manager
Smartleonms is intended to optimize the ground and space segment resources configuration for SATCOM constellations.
Smartleonms allows to plan the network connections based on users’ access requests to the LEO constellation, handling priorities, computing alternative routes, minimizing or avoiding communication blocks, and guaranteeing the provision of the best possible performance in terms of delay and throughput.
Smartleonms takes as input the users’ connections demand, the current satellites configuration, and the inherent non-static nature of the environment which depends on the temporal evolution of the network, the traffic, and meteorological events.
Smartleonms manages the constellation topology over time and corresponding orbits’ propagation including visibility between satellites and ground stations, considering satellite and ground stations models as well as meteorological data retrieved from external systems.
With all that information, Smartleonms computes the possible contacts and evaluates the SLA to optimize the network (ground and space assets) through different routing strategies.

Constellation communications mission simulator
Smartleosim is a LEO communications mission simulator complementing Smartleonms to estimate the performance and validate a given network configuration.
Smartleosim detects bottlenecks and other problems in a given configuration as well as performing what-if analysis in terms of failures in the constellations, changes in traffic patterns, new services provision, changes in weather conditions, etc.
Smartleosim simulates and evaluates SATCOM mission performance based on:
Traffic generation to analyze in real time the behavior and performance of the mission as per the applied network configuration.
Demand aggregation over time for its injection in the system in already pre-processed form.
Meteorological information retrieved from external sources or including the on- demand generation of meteorological events to analyze the performance of the simulations.
Orbit propagation and space-to-space and space-to-ground contacts computation, generating events for what-if analysis.
