Home About GMV Corporate Social Responsibility GMV Charity Work Print Share At GMV, we participate in a wide range of activities dedicated to helping those in need Situations of economic crisis, public health emergencies and warfare have created numerous inequalities in our society. GMV has made an ongoing effort to respond to the challenges presented in this context, by collaborating with initiatives launched by various NGOs, organizations and schools, with its employees also becoming involved as a demonstration of the company’s corporate culture and values. At GMV, the sharing of capabilities, resources, skills, and knowledge is seen as essential, as a way of achieving objectives that can contribute to improving the lives of others. For this reason, the company collaborates on social responsibility actions and charitable projects. Our employees also collaborate directly with NGOs, by participating in charitable activities in a variety of countries. In many cases, GMV provides additional support for these collaborations. Our Solidarity Initiatives Motivated by the situation of economic crisis and food insecurity caused by the coronavirus pandemic, GMV has been collaborating since 2020 with the Food Bank charity. In this case, GMV has made joint donations along with its employees, dedicated to providing food resources for that organization. GMV is collaborating with the Women for Africa Foundation (Fundación Mujeres por África), an organization that contributes to development of the African continent with an emphasis on equality between men and women, the role of women as drivers of progress, and the defense of peace, democracy and freedom. In recent years, both GMV and many of its employees have participated in a variety of charitable activities focused on mitigating the effects of the COVID‑19 pandemic. In collaboration with its employees, GMV has participated in a campaign with the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), dedicated to raising funds to provide housing and shelter for the thousands of families displaced by the conflict in Ukraine. We collaborate with the Sunshine organization in Nosy Komba, Madagascar, which has launched a variety of initiatives to raise funds for development projects in that region, focused on improving medical care, promoting quality education and supporting the local economy. GMV collaborates with the Prodis Foundation (Fundación Prodis), which is dedicated to social integration and employment training for youth with intellectual disabilities. During the Christmas season, GMV’s employees were able to purchase lottery tickets for a donation of €1 each, as a way of contributing to the NGO known as ONGAWA and its engineering projects dedicated to human development and social change.
