This conference brought together leading experts in the field of space and served as a platform for companies, government organizations, research institutions, startups and investors to meet and discuss the regional, national and European transformation of New Space. The Munich New Space Summit 2023 was hosted by Munich Aerospace and supported by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, together with the German Aerospace Industries Association (BDLI). Throughout the conference, a wide variety of presentations and panel discussions highlighted the many opportunities and challenges presented by the New Space era. Experts from a variety of fields shared ideas and knowledge, shedding light on the transformations underway across the industry. One of the main focus points was the exploration of emerging innovations in space. In-depth discussions covered topics such as financing space ventures, transforming promising ideas into viable products and services, and the role of governments in moderating the space transformation. Enrique Fraga, GMV's general manager of EST Space Systems, took part in the roundtable discussion entitled “New Space, a Powerful Movement in Space, also for Europe?” During his presentation, Fraga emphasized the importance of fostering collaboration and partnership between countries and space organizations to promote technological progress and joint space exploration. He also stressed the need to address the challenges of space sustainability to ensure a safe and sustainable space environment in the long term. This summit concluded as a premier gathering for New Space enthusiasts and professionals. With a focus on transformation, innovation, and collaboration, the conference played a critical role in shaping the future of the space industry.
