Women from GMV, colleagues from areas such as space, defense, telecommunications and automation, shared with the students the versatility of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) training and their applications in day-to-day life, as well as personal experiences they’ve had throughout their careers. They also talked to the students about the need to be inquisitive and curious about new things, thinking outside the box, without limits, and to be constant in order to reach their life goals. These students also had the chance to ask questions and talk with the speakers about their different questions and concerns. Initiatives like this one by GMV are important, as they inspire young people to commit to training paths related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics, while also sending out a message as role models, encouraging girls to turn any obstacles into opportunities.
