The project involves the development on the Park grounds of a city model in an open, digital, carbon-free and sustainable ecosystem for 2025, bringing forward the energy and climate objectives established for 2050. eCitySevilla is a smart community that seeks to increase the efficiency of traditional services and networks, using advanced digital technologies to benefit the people and businesses that work at PCT Cartuja. As part of the objective of turning PCT Cartuja into an international reference for sustainability and a model for energy transition, digitization is a key disruptive force. To that end, GMV will take part in the "Digitization" Working Group, which is looking to use advanced technologies that make it possible to better leverage resources and reduce emissions, with a special focus on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), helping the public administrations to be more receptive to the needs of the people and encouraging sustainable development based on the transition to a circular economy. Meanwhile, GMV will also be involved in the "Sustainable Mobility" Working Group, based on the premise that the mobility of the future will be electric, connected and shared, contributing its experience in robotics and autonomous vehicles. The initial goal is to make the city carbon-free and renew the environment using clean vehicles, such as using driverless electric shuttles that can adapt their routes using artificial intelligence based on the destination of each of the passengers. In short, GMV is joining an ambitious project for the 100% sustainable city of the future that must promote the participation of the public, businesses and the administration, enabling them to contribute actively in the design of an internationally recognized Science and Technology Park.
