GMV participates in the 7th Conference on Sustainable Mobility and Intelligent Transportation Systems

On December 8 and 9, 2022, GMV took part in the 7th Conference on Sustainable Mobility and Intelligent Transport Systems held in Nicosia, Cyprus.

The primary aim of this conference was to promote sustainable development, focusing on issues such as mobility, the circular economy, and environmentally-friendly modes of transportation, among others. The event addresses aspects such as the need to promote the circular economy on the islands leveraging cross-border cooperation, the drive of multi-lateral and bilateral relations, and enhancing the exchange of knowledge to share best practices. 

GMV had a notable presence at the event with the talk on “Shifting towards Account Based Ticketing (ABT) and Contactless EMV (cEMV) in Public Transport” as part of the session on “Investing in Intelligent Transportation Systems.” Iker Estébanez, Senior Business Development Manager Europe & Americas, presented GMV’s experience in projects in different countries in the field of ABT and EMV technologies.

In addition, as part of the conference, there was a space for exhibitors, which hosted organizations active in projects and actions for sustainable mobility and intelligent transportation systems. GMV was present with a stand where conference attendees could see demos of the hardware and software systems that GMV offers to authorities and public transit operators to use the ABT and EMV features.
