During her presentation, she highlighted the advances and projects GMV is working on in the field of quantum computing, showcasing the innovative CUCO project in Spain as a prime example of their efforts. The CUCO project, initiated in 2021 and led by GMV, has become a pioneering initiative in quantum computing at both the national and corporate levels. The primary goal of this project is to advance the state-of-the-art in quantum algorithms and apply this knowledge in a series of proof-of-concept trials in strategic sectors of the Spanish economy, such as Energy, Finance, Space, Defense, and Logistics. CUCO, funded by the Center for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) and supported by the Ministry of Science and Innovation under the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, not only drives technological advancement in Spain but also demonstrates the commitment of the government and institutions to the development of quantum computing and its application in key sectors globally.During her Qubits presentation in Boston, Ana María Sánchez Montero detailed some of the milestones achieved by the CUCO project, focusing on the use of D-Wave’s technology. She highlighted how the proof-of-concept trials have demonstrated the potential of quantum algorithms to solve complex problems in various sectors. For example, in the space sector, GMV is using quantum computing to improve mission planning and trajectory optimization for satellite imaging. More details can be found here. With projects like CUCO, GMV is proving that quantum computing is not just a future promise but a tangible reality that is beginning to transform industries and key sectors, thus driving the technological and economic progress of the country.Watch Ana Maria Sánchez's participation at D-Wave’s QuBits Conference CUCO Project Print Share Related Industry AgriTech Expo 26 Nov - 28 Nov Industry The future of sustainability, artificial intelligence, and defense 21 Nov 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Industry Living Lab ALIA 26 Nov 10:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
