GMV showcases its public transport solutions at UITP 2023

GMV featured prominently in the latest “Global Public Transport Summit,” displaying its extensive experience in the development of public transport solutions.

Held every two years by UITP (International Union of Public Transport), the “Global Public Transport Summit” includes a congress and a trade fair-exhibition with the participation of the major companies and industries in the sector. This is a very high-profile event, because it features attendance and participation by producers, institutions, and high-level policymakers. This year's event was held in Barcelona, from June 4 to 7, under the name “Bright Light of the City.”

GMV had stand #6F210, where it provided personalized demonstrations of its global solutions for the transport market, such as the new ITS-Suite platform for public transport operators, providing comprehensive management and passenger information, as well as its Account Based Ticketing (ABT) equipment and solutions.

GMV was present at the stand run by Barcelona’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (ATM) (#7H220), where it demonstrated the new multi-fleet ITS-Suite platform that the two entities are implementing in the Barcelona region, which will provide daily management support for 8 public transportation operators, with a combined fleet of around 1,000 vehicles.

GMV also gave two presentations, one by Rubén Herrero, senior product manager, in the session “A user-centric approach for more accessible and inclusive mobility in cities” and the other by Alberto Nicolás, head of the bus & trams division, during the session “Improving the passenger experience with smart ticketing and payment.” The company also exhibited its ITS Suite at the “Innovation Guided Tour,” a guided tour implemented by the organization to present the most cutting-edge innovations in the sector.
