Most of them will be joining GMV's Madrid offices while one of the interns will start in Barcelona. This scholarship scheme has grown significantly in recent years, providing opportunities for students of diverse profiles and disciplines. Its aim is to give students a first contact with the business world and to strengthen the links between GMV and education, one of the company's core values. The new trainees come from various universities and have a wide variety of academic backgrounds. They will work in the EST, NAV, SES, SES, ITS and SED sectors. Historically GMV's internship scheme in Spain was aimed at first-year students of the Master's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering (MUIA) of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid: UPM). This year, however, the opportunities have been widened and the number of grants has been doubled, selecting students from other master's schemes, both of the UPM and other academic institutions. In addition, third-year students from degrees such as Aeronautics, Physics, Mathematics, among others, have also joined the program. Ignacio Ramos, GMV's Corporate Director of People and Infrastructure Strategy, and Cristina Hernández, head of GMV's Talent Acquisition and Employer Brand, welcomed the new interns in a presentation highlighting the company's different sectors, relevant projects and the exciting future opportunities awaiting the students. Not only in Spain but also in other countries GMV has set up summer-scholarship schemes. In Portugal twelve people are expected to join, while in Romania six students will be selected. In Poland a student will also join the scheme under the umbrella of the "Polish Space Fellowship Program". These initiatives reinforce GMV's commitment to education and its interest in fostering young talent, giving students the chance to gain practical experience in a cutting-edge business environment. The company also keeps in constant contact with study centers and universities all over Spain and takes part in various national and international employment forums, strengthening its links with educational institutions.
