This program promoted by the Royal Academy of Engineering and AMETIC aims to motivate and encourage vocations in STEAM studies (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) for students with the best academic record and selected according to their interests and skills, in their final master’s degree courses from different universities such as the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Complutense University of Madrid, Carlos III University, San Pablo CEU University and the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, among others. GMV, together with other companies of the ICT sector, took part in this fifth edition of the program, which ran from March to June. During these four months, a GMV colleague guided a UPM master’s degree student in telecommunications engineering through various sessions as she made the transition from academic to professional life. Through the shared knowledge and professional experiences, the student learned more about the area of ICT cybersecurity. The good results of this program also led to a scholarship for the student to join GMV’s team, specifically GMV’s cybersecurity services and the consultancy division of Secure e-Solutions.
