The aim of this encounter is to invite reflection on the past history and real impact of innovation on the society of the nearest future. To do so, accompanied by the 500 most active business R&D and innovation firms and the most important national stakeholders, the CDTI is putting on a National Innovating Firms Encounter (Encuentro Nacional de Empresas Innovadoras) to take stock of the present sitaution and weigh up the future of innovation and its contribution to society. Jesús Serrano, CEO of GMV, will be taking part in the section “Entrepreneurial R&D and the CDTI: success stories”, speaking about the company’s origins, its track record and development, as well as its relationship with CDTI, dating right back to the company’s very first days. Those participating in the encounter include the Minister of Economics, Industry and Competitiveness, Luis de Guindos; the Secretary of State of Research, Development and Innovation, Carmen Vela; the Secretary General of Science and Innovation, Juan María Vázquez; plus CDTI’s Director General, Francisco Marín.
