RoboCity16
GMV is taking part in RoboCity16, a conference to be held on 26 and 27 May by the Center for Automation and Robotics (CAR), a joint research center of the Higher Scientific Research Center (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas: CSIC) and the Madrid Polytechnic University (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid: UPM).
The event’s main purpose is to present the results of RoboCity2030, a European consortium promoting robotics science and technologies in numerous human-centered applications, in relation to current and future robotics applications and research trends. Although RoboCity16 will focus on the consortium’s work, it is also an open conference involving the holding of various workshops to deal with the robotics world from different approaches (cultural, educational, business and social). It therefore represents an excellent forum for researchers, end users, the government and the industry to swap notes and share expertise.
In “Workshop WS4: Robotics innovation”, organized by the Spanish Robotics Technology Platform HispaRob on 27 May, Juan Carlos Llorente, GMV’s Robotics Business Development Manager, will be giving an overview of the current situation and future prospects in the defense and security sector, doing so from a robotics innovation and business approach.
