Tipatag, a user-friendly way to liven up your contents with personal smart images

The technology multinational GMV has developed Tipatag, a groundbreaking product for publishing contents by means of personalized smart images. It works in a very similar way to a BIDI code, so anyone can access this additional information free of charge through his or her smartphone. The most innovative feature is the ease with which all users can make their own Tipatags, uploading the information they want to websites, social networking sites, etc, all in a simple way and free of charge. They can also add color and personality to their Tipatags, using whichever totally personalized images they choose in each case.

Tipatag is an app that needs two platforms: a mobile application and a website. The website www.tipatag.com is open to everyone. From there users can choose images that mean something to them personally or are related in some way to the message they wish to publish. Once chosen, the image is assigned a given action, such as posting a like on Facebook, becoming a fan of a Facebook fan page, becoming a follower of someone on Twitter, launching a video, documents or an URL. Once the action has been chosen the system then automatically generates an image in PNG format, ready for download and then being published wherever the user likes. The key feature here is that the system is open to everyone without needing to register; neither is any record kept of the access IPs or uploaded images. At the end of the whole image-download process the system instantly erases all data.

Tipatag’s mobile app is available for free in AppStore for Iphone handhelds and in Google Play for Android. All Tipatags are marked up by the symbol Tt. Whenever users see this Tt symbol in an image, they need only to download Tiptag, open it from the smartphone and the app will scan the image when the handheld’s camera is placed before the image. The chosen Tipatag-associated action will then automatically be launched.

Tipatag works in an identical way to a BIDI code. With Tipatag, however, images can be customized with personal or corporate photographs and the whole process is quick and easy.
