ANDROMEDA WORKSHOP
Border surveillance is a complex mission; European borders are long and the lie of the land is varied. In 2010 the European Commission presented a 6-stage roadmap towards a Common Information Sharing Environment (CISE) for the EU maritime domain.
In 2019, under this umbrella, the Horizon 2020 Andromeda project kicked off. A Horizon-2020 project involving 19 partners from 9 different countries, Andromeda aims to speed up detection and control of new incidents (human trafficking, arms or drugs smuggling, for example), to improve decision-making and reach joint decisions in handling cross-border situations. To that end It is working with a distributed set of interconnected systems and services according to CISE principles.
GMV, as project partner, is taking part in an Andromeda seminar to be held online on 23 and 24 June.
