Φ-week 2021

GMV participates in the fourth edition of the Earth Observation Phi-Week, an event organized by the European Space Agency on October 11-15, 2021.  The central theme of the event is based on how to accelerate the future of Earth observation, presenting the latest developments in open EO science and the latest trends on the EO market; exploring innovative and transformative initiatives that the ESA Phi-lab and data applications division supports and expands together with private researchers, startups, industry and investors.  The primary objective of Phi-Week 2021 is the new space economy and associated innovations, highlighting how the new space economy is developing in Europe, as well as competition at the global level. And how it can contribute to the EU’s Green Deal, the Digital Europe program, the Destination Earth initiative, the UN sustainable development goals and, in general, the EU’s space strategy and the European space sector.  The main objectives of Phi-Week include:  - Analyzing new applications of innovative technologies that influence the new EO space economy, scientific innovation, missions and services  - Supporting the EO community of European startups, new space operators, investors, ICT agents, global EO leaders, ESA, the member States and EC, bringing them together and offering their vision of the future of EO  - Promoting the scientific community, entrepreneurs, investors and the public.  - Cooperating with new players, supporting new collaborations between disciplines
