GREEN AI: The sustainable future of Artificial Intelligence
The Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Public Foundation comes together at "GREEN AI: The Sustainable Future of Artificial Intelligence" to public administration spokespersons, opinion leaders, experts in sustainable artificial intelligence, and representatives of technology companies to share their perspectives on the potential of AI in building a greener future. This event is designed as a space for learning, inspiration, and collaboration, where we will explore the fundamental role that technology plays in caring for the planet.
Throughout the day, we will have the opportunity to attend presentations, round tables, debates and expert panels, as well as learn about success stories that will demonstrate how artificial intelligence can be a critical ally in the fight against climate change . Our aim is to raise awareness of the environmental impact of AI use, promote the development of more sustainable algorithms, and highlight the measures being implemented, such as those of the National Green Algorithms Program (PNAV).
Miguel Hormigo, director of GMV's Industry Sector, is taking part in the round table on "Sustainable AI in driven strategies" to highlight PRTR-funded initiatives and the results of their implementation. A panel chaired by David de Francisco, Deputy Director General of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Enabling Technologies (SGIATHD), in which Hormigo will present the work carried out as part of the AgrarIA project.
The AGRARIA Project: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE APPLIED TO THE AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION VALUE CHAIN 2050 (TSI-100114-2021-0), has been funded by the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Function, through the R&D Missions in Artificial Intelligence 2021 Program, as part of the Spain Digital Agenda 2025 and the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy, with European funding through the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan.
