GMV, strengthening relations between the United States and the European Union
GMV was one of the participants in the 2nd USA - European Union Forum: Looking towards the Future, organized by the Fundación EuroAmérica in Miami. This forum aims to exchange experiences and promote dialogue and cooperation on both sides of the Atlantic, forging closer bonds between both continents to the benefit of both.
During the two-day event leading figures from politics, society and academia looked to the future to show how both sides can help to galvanize the transatlantic relationship, dealing with such issues as intellectual property, the role of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), innovation and internet in developing countries, the growth of business and the creation of new markets and their influence in different sectors.
GMV gave two papers: “Innovation and research: critical assets in the growth of the health sector”, by Luis Fernando Álvarez Gascón, General Manager of GMV Secure e-Solutions; and “The role of Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs) in developing countries, growth of business and creating new markets”, by Andrés Escobero, Vice President of GMV Secure e-Solutions USA.
