GMV collaborates in CCI’s document on Cybersecurity in the Lifecycle of an Industrial Automation Project
The Industrial Cybersecurity Center (Centro de Ciberseguridad Industrial: CCI) has published “Cybersecurity in the Lifecycle of an Industrial Automation Project” with help in drawing up contents from Javier Zubieta, Head of Cybersecurity Business Development of GMV Secure e-Solutions.
This document has been drawn up by a multidisciplinary team made up by cybersecurity professionals plus experts in industrial organization, engineering and manufacturers of operation technologies, all of whom have chipped in with their particular expertise and experience.
Convinced of the importance of applying cybersecurity right from the design stage to improve the protection level of Industrial Control Systems (ICSs), the organization is confident that this document will help to make all cybersecurity stakeholders better prepared for heading off cybernetic threats in as many projects as they might take on throughout their careers.
Indeed, the best way of protecting digital technologies used in the operation of any industrial plant is to do so right from the earliest stages in their lifecycle (design, provision and installation), phasing in in each of these stages the right cybersecurity measures and mechanisms as well as all the other operation-related requirements of functionality, quality and security.
